of Hamirgarh(atop the hill on right side of ‘hathli’ khad) thus the district Hamirpur is named after him.
The “Mahal-Moriyan” fort which is only known for the two famous battles is also the only jagir which
was offered to the legitimate inheritor Ranvir Chand(son of Aniruddh Chand and grandson of Maharaja
Sansar Chand 2) who was forced to settle in the nearby village Karha(then known as karheen) along with
his brother Pramod Chand due to the fury of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh!
